When Grygoriy Sokirinskiy’s exhibition is about to end (May 10th), N2N doesn’t leave us with empty hands (and hearts!) and already got something new for us.
“Intricate Lines. A journey into the world of printmaking and statuary” as the title suggests it’s an exhibition on printmaking – an art form consisting of the production of images, usually on paper under the direct supervision of or by the hand of the artist. Such fine prints, as they are known collectively, are considered original works of art, even though they can exist in multiples. Quick tip: To better understand try to recall works of Dürer, Goya or Rembrandt. However let’s leave past behind and focus on nowness and four most prominent contemporary Ukrainian artists: Oksana Stratiychuk, Andrew Levitzky, Nikolay Dudchenko and Olesha Dzuraeva presenting different methods and techniques of this art from.
Apart from printmakers Gennadiy Titov, Klim Stepanov and Aleksandr Kuzmin – three Ukrainian sculptors who transform bronze, stone and wood into masterpieces, full of inner harmony and outer beauty.
Grande opening of the exhibition takes place at N2N Gallery at Nation Towers, Corniche on May 12th 7:30 PM and will run until June 20th.
